Ugin (Post-Mending)

Ugin

Magic: the Gathering

Ugin's powers and abilities

Planeswalker - Ugin is a Post-Mending Planeswalker, allowing him to freely travel through the Blind Eternities to other planes without being disintegrated. His Spark also grants him immunities to various corrupting effects and raises many of his base resistances and giving him a much greater mana pool than an average being.

Elder Dragon - Ugin was one of the last Elder Dragons born onto the plane of Dominaria, alongside his brother Nicol. As an Elder Dragon, Ugin is much more powerful than an average dragon in addition to having stronger scales and much higher intellect. Elder Dragon's were more than powerful enough to give lesser pre-mending walkers a run for their money.

Ugin's Breath - Ugin's signature flame breath is both incredibly powerful and invisible. Almost anything that comes into contact with the flame is disintegrated.

The Spirit Dragon - True to his name, Ugin's power is derived from spiritual manipulation and has ascended past the normal bounds of the mana color spectrum. His abilities are vast and this only covers his most notable spells.

  • Transmutation - Ugin can freely convert objects into energy/mana and vice versa with little issue. He can also use this to create illusory clouds around beings and objects.

  • Sealing - Ugin is practiced at trapping dangerous entities in places they can do no harm, as he did against the Eldrazi and later against his own brother, Nicol Bolas.

  • Life Manipulation - Ugin was able to create and forment life on Tarkir through the creation of the dragon tempests, which birthed five new elder dragons.

  • Mind Magic - Ugin is a deft hand with mental magic, able to selectively remove memories from a target, even ones that are themselves great with mental magic. He also possesses telepathy he can broadcast over multiversal distances.

  • Temporal Manipulation - Ugin has used this power (through the vessel of Sarkhan Vol) to restructure the timeline and resurrect himself on Tarkir.

  • Summoning - Like all planeswalkers, Ugin can create facsimiles of his allies to assist him in battle, though he rarely does so due to his overwhelming power.
