Ulamog

Magic: the Gathering

Ulamog's powers and abilities

Eldrazi Titan - Ulamog has a similar set of abilities to his siblings, being immune to the ravages of The Blind Eternities and passively absorbing mana from the plane he is on. The areas he absorbs from are left frail and lifeless, seemingly turned into the corpse of a coral reef.

Brood - Ulamog passively creates his own brood as he feeds on a plane. Ulamog's brood have bifurcated arms, tentacled masses on the bottoms of their bodies and white, featureless masks instead of faces. His brood are primarily focused on destroying the terrain and getting it ready for processing by their master. Each drone also has a pocket dimension inside of them they use to transport this raw material. The brood not specifically designed for reclamation have a variety of jobs and tasks they are designed for the specific environment they are born into. In addition, all of the brood are extensions of Ulamog himself.

Matter Processor - Ulamog's abilities outside of the normal Titan ones focus on the the destruction and recreation of the environment around him. He and his drones can turn pretty much anything they find into dust and seem to have more of a direct combat focus. One of the uses for this processing of material is the creation of plagues and other decomposition effects, which cause Ulamog to give off a horrific scent to herald his arrival. Ulamog also displays the ability to craft his own twisted spells that he uses to great effect against his mortal opposition.

Other Worldliness - Ulamog's true form exists outside of the normal confines of reality and is thus immune to most forms of damage. His planar avatar is incredibly durable, having been in combat with other plane destroying foes without taking damage. Only after a group of planeswalkers gathered together and harnessed the power of one of the most mana rich planes in existence was this form finally destroyed.

Ulamog's weaknesses

Alien Thinking - The Eldrazi Titans' thought processes are almost impossible to be truly understood, but some of the basics can be exploited. The Eldrazi are drawn to large sources of mana, which has been used to trap them multiple times (if not always successfully).
