Stats v2.0
Created by Galactus, 8 mo 22 d ago.
The new Stat system is on the horizon and I thought it's time to introduce it to all of you.
I've been thinking about redoing the stats system for a while now. And I think we (DarkProdigy, NemianLion and I) have come up with a great system now.
All stat sections (intelligence, strength, speed, etc.) have real-world units or a set benchmark.
These are as follows;
Intelligence
Uses IQ points based on the BS5 classification. It's extended to 200
Strength
Uses kilograms (like before), but goes up to 1,000,000 metric tons instead of 500 metric tons.
Speed
Uses Meters per Second, with a max of 1,000,000,000, roughly 3x speed of light.
Durability, Combat
Is still a 0-100 scale, but with a clear benchmark list.
Power
Is still a 0-100 scale, but with a clear benchmark list. The superpower scores will not be added to this stat. What you enter is what you get.
With these real-world units and benchmarks, the stats can all be entered based on facts (with some debate). Overall more accurate.
Class v2.0
The overall calculation is a bit simpler, but more flexible. The super powers still have a point system and is used only to calculate the Class. To create some more scale to the classes we created a Tier system, going from 0 to 8 (going from human to outerversal). This acts as a multiplier to the calculated Class.
Calculation (updated)
( INT^1.3 + (STR*2 )^0.5 + (SPE*2)^0.5 + DUR^1.6 + (POW + SPS)^2 + COM^1.8 ) ^ TIER
SPS = Super Power Score
The uStat edit page is almost done. Still need to add some help text. It's not in the interface yet.
For now, to access the page, go to any character profile page and add 'ustats' to the url, like so:
https://www.superherodb.com/hulk/10-83/ustats/
Power Levels
Most powers will show three options when selecting it. With those you can set the power 'level'. From left to right; low, avg, max.
The more a character can do with that power the higher the level should be. The level influenced the amount of points added to the class calculation.
Let me know what you think!
Side note; I will regularly remove active edits older that ± 21 days. So, don't forget to 'end' your edit.
Speed is full body movement speed. This includes things like; running, jumping, flying, gliding, swinging, etc.
I can see characters like E. Honda (Street Fighter) maybe having a higher speed. Characters like that could be an exception.
The stats now show the infinity symbol where needed.
Omniscient -> Intelligence Infinite
Omnipresent -> Speed infinite
Omnipotent -> All infinite
You can now update your own OCs with the new stat system. They will be set as 'official' stats since they're your creations.
- Thanks @TheImaginator
But since you asked, I'll make it so, that clicking on the pencil of your own OC, you can edit the v2 stats. I'll let you know when it's done (up to 30 minutes).
The profile pages have been updated. You can now see the new Stats and uStats average. And you can edit your uStats from here by clicking the pencil.
The Class is not updating yet.
You can read the instructions in front of it
Have fun editing your stats!
Is the Hulk uStat allowed to be edited by normal users? Because I'm pretty sure I can edit it.
Super Power Levels
The super powers will have three levels; low, average and max. When selecting a super power it will default to average. If you feel a character has fully mastered a power or he/she can do more things with it than the average character, you can set it to 'max'. And the 'low' option is for characters that are not that good with their power yet, less experienced or their version is more basic than others.
With these three levels you can set how much of the super power score (points) will be added to the calculation.
Hope that makes sense.
And Omniscient will give an infinity symbol for Intelligence and Omnipresent for speed.
