I thought the directing and actors were elite. Really got me stoked about the future of the franchise. I did not think I was going to like it due to the villain re-designs, but...I wound up loving it.

I am also really late to this party because I have been so busy lately and not able to really get to the theater but I finally did and I have to say I was very very impressed by the movie. The first thing I noticed was the cinematography and how it utilized highlight and shadow and the compositions were awesome. Second, Batman's look I thought looked incredible, I was a big fan of the cowl and the armor, I thought it fit the aesthetic of everything super well. Third, most of the acting was spot on, I was impressed by each one of their acting choices all the way from Bruce to Falcone. I think the dialogue sometimes with the slow speech patterns of Pattinson was rough but that was my only complaint. Everything else was fantastic. Fourth, the sound design was incredible and I was impressed by most of the music. Especially the little combination of the batman/gotham song with Ave Maria. Loved it. Now in comparison to other Batman films, I loved the new take on this film, I loved how much more Batman we got in this movie. Now let me just break it down to my favorite two Batman movies ever. The Dark Knight and The Batman, the villain in The Dark Knight takes it for me and he was so incredibly gripping to watch as the Joker and I liked The riddled but Heath still wins for me. Batman though is tough because Bruce Wayne I think was nailed by Nolan and Bale but it was also a completely different take on the character whereas this was a younger more inexperienced Batman in this film so I just liked him a little bit more. I honestly think as a whole I maybe like The Batman better which is tough to say because The Dark Knight is in my top 10 favorite movies of all time.

I am a lot late. Cause I was waiting to see the movie in the theaters and today I did. And I have to say I really loved it. Even though there are somethings that seemed off. But later on I realised that this is how it was supposed to be. The movie has a very dark tone (Obviously). It is dark , very "DC" , very "Batman" and it is a movie off its own kind. It is a Batman movie like no other. Pattinson did a very good job at playing Batman. To me it seemed somewhat like a comic book made real. Paul Dano did a great riddler. People are Joker fans. There are actors who played Joker with good level of perfection. To me Paul Dano played the Riddler with the same level of perfection. Certain things I shouldn't spoil for those who didn't see it yet. This movie shows us a different side of batman . We usually see Bruce Wayne's wealth and somewhat social life. But this movie focuses on the batman mostly. We don't see him as Bruce Wayne much. But it was quite exiting. One of the thing people might not like about the movie is that most of it happens at night time. But I didn't have much problem with it. Night time goes with the Batman. And I am still not sure if it was The Joker or Two Face at the end of the movie. Overall the movie was really great. I expect a sequel of it. And one more important thing is that this movie is for people who are Marvel/DC fans or people who like to watch movies. Not everyone would like it. I mean I went to see it with two of my cousins. They don't watch movies that much nor are they Marvel or DC fans. If I summarize their reviews it is basically "Eeh, It was Okay." But to me it was exiting. I enjoyed the whole movie. I liked the suspense of the movie. But even though it was a great movie it wasn't perfect. Certain slight changes would have made it even better. I would rate the movie 8/10.

Was very well written and had a good story. Also wanted to point out that this is probably the most #1 live action movie with the most fight scenes. They changed riddler's outfit and made him more of a creepy character. The actor that played riddler was astounding and made the movie more tense. I think the only problem they did with this movie is they kept starting the scene at the same location. Like the 2 twins where Batman enters the strip club. Maybe adding it in a different setting would have been good because it seems predictable what will happen always at the same location. Overall liked this movie. There will probably be another one because of two-face. Can't wait to see the 2nd one.

(since my post got locked for some reason I'll put my full review here, sorry about the wall of text)

So, finally we get a new solo Batman film. We've seen Bats in a lot of other stuff since The Dark Knight Trilogy concluded and not all of it was good. I've already made my opinions known regarding which actor's portrayal was my favorite (if you didn't catch it, it's Christian Bale). Robert Pattinson now takes up the mantle, and he does NOT disappoint. Here's my review of The Batman (2022).

The Batman is a very dark take on the masked vigilante's story, possibly the most gritty in tone out of all of the films Batman has gotten over the years. It appears to be set at the beginning of Bruce Wayne's journey as Batman, but it is not an origin story. He has already very much become his alter ego and finished his training. He also does not yet have the full trust of the Gotham City police, with Commissioner Gordon being the only one to let Batman work unimpeded, vouching for him on many occasions. This time around the villain is The Riddler, played by Paul Dano, who is very far from his comic counterpart, with the film instead opting for a clearly psychotic, mentally unstable man, bent on unmasking the truth about Gotham's police corruption, and of course about Batman.

Robert Pattinson absolutely knocked it out of the park with his take on Batman, and seeing as Christian Bale isn't taking the role back any time soon, I hope he keeps it and we get a new trilogy starring him. Pattinson plays a very strong silent Batman, and hearkens back to Bale's tone while actually improving on it in some ways. His voice when he's wearing the mask is perfect, not over-acted or silly sounding, he just sounds like himself, but angry. Very angry. As Bruce Wayne, I think Pattinson needs just a BIT of work, I grew to really love the "reclusive playboy" act that Bale brought. I also see why that wouldn't work as well in this movie, but Pattinson doesn't look as natural as Bruce Wayne as he does as Batman. It certainly wasn't bad, or something that ruined the movie. Just a small thing I noticed. Hopefully if we get a new trilogy, we'll see Robert refine his take on Bruce Wayne, because he's certainly got the chops for it. In this movie it just didn't focus a lot on that aspect of Batman's character.
Placed into the mix as well is Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, who this time was played by Zoe Kravitz. Catwoman may have been my favorite part of The Batman, because we got a small taste of her backstory, and got to see why she chose the path of a thief for herself. Zoe was excellent at showing an emotionally vulnerable, yet strong willed version of Catwoman, and serves well as a love interest for the Dark Knight, without becoming overbearing or taking the focus off of what we all wanted to see from a Batman movie.

We also had an appearance from Colin Farrell as The Penguin, a Batman villain with very little time on the big screen up until now. He does great as a side antagonist and is the target of a chase sequence which is now one of my absolute favorites ever. He wasn't too complex, which isn't a bad thing because focusing on two villains at once is a very easy way to stretch your movie too thin, this one deftly avoids that in favor of a more focused plot.

In closing, The Batman is everything I could have hoped for from a Batman movie and more. It felt for a while like nothing was going to live up to The Dark Knight, but thankfully this one delivers in spades, showing us the darkest, scariest take on Batman we've seen. Robert Pattinson was just as good if not better than my previous favorite actor. Zoe Kravitz was outstanding and effective as Catwoman, and showed us real emotion as her. The Riddler was a great villain who served this movie's purpose well but I don't think he quite measures up to Heath Ledger's Joker. That's quite a bar to overcome though, so I'm not surprised. I genuinely hope that Joaquin Phoenix takes that role back if they decide to bring Joker back in the future, because that would make for something truly special.

Yeah I know he was the Joker in Arkham Asylum at the end of the movie, but I can still wish Joaquin Phoenix would take the role instead. Honestly for me, even despite being a drastically different version of the Joker than the one from Nolan's trilogy, he and Heath Ledger are the only two actors I really enjoyed seeing in the role. The others are fine in the context of their movies, but only in that context. Anywhere else they would be annoying and obnoxious. I know it probably won't happen but god damn it a man can dream.

Imma give an honest review(imo)
This movie's literally the best example of why you should watch films like these in theaters. The noir, dark, gritty environment were as good as they were promised. As i said earlier, we havent seen such a protrayal of catwoman, and riddler -man, paul dano played him good and atleast here he wasnt a joke like he was when played by jim carrey(in fact, i don't think riddler have done damage like this anytime before). (Man,i hoped they would add a double grapple takedown in any batman arkham game series, that was epic). The intro fight scene where batman beats up those guys and the part where the batmobile comes in were really a treat for the fans(the audience nearly destroyed my ears, but well, i joined in that screaming😂).A lot of scary sound effects felt forced. People criticized the movie for its duration, but three hours didnt seem long and it was worth it and felt like it needed even more.. The movie aint the best nor the greatest, but its a must watch
