T'Challa, I wished they never killed him off.

I don't think recasting Black Panther so soon after Chadwick Boseman's death would've been a good idea.

I don't think it be disrespectful thiough, for example Heath Ledger passed away and we had multiple people play The Joker. Plus the character's fate in-universe shouldn't reflect with the actor in real life. It be like if Tom Holland died in real life they kill Spider-Man in-universe. Plus there were soo many stories left for T'Challa to tell, we sadly never got to see him fight Namor.

Except the examples you give were different versions of the character in different universes. Replacing Chadwick (or Tom) if he had decided to not reprise the role is one thing, but the actor dying and being replaced is callous at best. Real-life circumstances affect the product; no one would've been happy if they announced what you're suggesting and the potential for a legitimate lasting boycott over that decision would be real.

They were quick to recast Thunderbolt Ross/Red Hulk because his actor died in real life, so I don't see a problem with it for the other characters. Yeah I agree it be too soon to recast, but if they were to recast they would've either delayed the film by more years or cancelled it.

I think the difference there is visibility and importance. I think if they were to recast T'Challa, they'd need to contrive a plotline for him to come from a different universe.

@masterking2 'Hear me out' means you are going to explain why he/she would be a good fit... missing your explanation.

@Galactus It's mostly due to the character's I've seen him play being exceptionally good at aggressive combat. I used 'Hear me out' because I assumed it wasn't a common though of fancast.

The main reason I started this topic; could Harry play James Bond. Although Richard Madden is my nr1 pick for the next Bond, I can see Harry work as Bond.
