Propulsion - Sovereign-class starships achieved warp flight through two warp nacelles, which housed multiple pairs of warp coils. It could achieve warp factor 8. The two impulse engines were both located at the aft of the saucer section.Armament - The Sovereign-class originally employed twelve phaser arrays at key locations throughout the ship's hull with four more being added after the refits. In addition, the Enterprise was equipped with five torpedo launchers (later increased to ten) which could launch either photon or quantum torpedos.
