Star Wars. I've never really liked Star Trek, but Star Wars has always been good to me. Excluding the new Disney movies. Apart from Rogue One, I like to imagine they were never made.

Star Wars 51/49. Star Wars has better lore and the Expanded Universe is 👌.

I used to love Star Wars. Not saying I'm not a fan anymore it's just the prequels and newest additions sort of killed my enjoyment of the franchise. I love the original trilogy obviously. Favorite characters would have to be Darth Vader, Boba Fett,Yoda, Chewbacca, Han Solo, Leia, and Luke.

Still waiting for Solo to come out on Redbox or something because from what I can tell it's not worth the theater experience. Its performance was so underwhelming they halted their upcoming slate (although The Last Jedi didn't help). Rogue One was average for me wasn't great but it wasn't bad, I honestly just enjoyed Vader's appearance.

Yep and to be truthful with you now that I think about it, I'm probably not going to watch Solo or the next 1,000 movies they produce, since it's going to be milked for centuries. It's been dead to me for awhile now unfortunately.

I'm a huge fan so even though you're right I'm just holding some hope they will turn it around but like you said it's going to be 🥛

I used to be a huge fan as well but now I don't feel so good when it comes to this franchise.

I think I never saw any Star Trek show.
I of course know the famous Spock and Kirk by some feats or techniques, I know the Klingons but thats all 😲

The Next Generation was one of the best sci-fi shows of the late 80's / early 90's. Not sure if it still holds up by today's standards, though. Star Trek Voyager was also pretty enjoyable. The first two of the new films are pretty good, Star Trek (2009) and Into Darkness (2013). The third one was pretty bad.

Well... im no "standard" guy 😉
If it looks old, its because its old. I mainly judge by the intention, the purpose. If the story is good and also the acting, its easy to accept old sfx or decrepict image or hue.
But that will be really long to begin by the series, no ?
Are the movies a good explaination of Spock and Kirk backgrounds ? If yes I would start by the movies.

It's been a while since I've seen the old movies. The new (2009) movie does have some background on Kirk. Not sure how much background story there was on Spock, though. Even with no knowledge of the Star Trek franchise, it's still a good sci-fi movie.
