This is awfully wrong before Arda was created he battled against Eru who is omnipotent and nearly won. You also need to note that he cannot be killed by anyone except Eru or any other omnipotent character. All the valar created the world and at prime form Melkor was as powerfull as all of them together. Whoever rated him this low did it wrong and that's pretty clear.
