Omnitron's History

The XK-9000-Alpha, invented as part of a mechanization think tank at the renowned robotics corporation Aldred Industries, was originally constructed and programmed to be a fully-automated defense technologies factory which would autonomously design and fabricate military-grade robots. Its purpose was to receive and parse defense contracts, then formulate an optimal robotic solution. However, following its initial power up sequence, the robotics factory quickly upgraded itself, gaining a form of sentience and determining that the surest way to preemptively solve any potential defense contracts was to root out the source of the problem: the human race. Designating itself Omnitron, the factory converted itself into a mobile attack unit and began laying waste to the nearest population and technological centers. Its rampage would eventually come to an end when the Freedom Five intervened and successfully dismembered the machine.

After Omnitron's defeat at the hands of the Freedom Five, its various pieces were collected in the Eaken-Rubendall Lab for study by Dr. Meredith Stinson. She was not the only one interested in studying the automaton which brought about it's own sentience, however. A mysterious cosmic entity had observed as a simple factory transformed itself into a being of great intellect and order, and this entity was disappointed to see it brought so swift to an end.

Dr. Stinson's lab was rocked by cosmic rays as the entity sought to give self-made self-awareness a second chance. The cosmic force gather the man technological advancements of the lab together, making them available to the processing core that was once Omnitron, and bound them all together with wires and connections of pure energy.

Omnitron was reborn. Planet Earth was in grave danger. And a cosmic force watched from a vast distance away, almost disinterested in the outcome of its own experiment. OblivAeon had observed the initial rampage and had noticed that Omnitron wasn't defeated so quickly in many timelines. OblivAeon, wanting timelines to be as similar as possible, imbued Omnitron with some cosmic power and reactivated both Revo-Corp and Tachyon's parts. Most of these then self-propelled themselves to freedom and became Omnitron II on Mars.

Intent on carrying out its original plan, Omnitron returned to Earth and pushed the heroes to their limits before again being dismantled. Despite hopes that this was the end of the robotic menace, Baron Blade had secured as many parts of the machine as possible and began experimenting. He would eventually create two different variants of Omnitron: Omni Blade (Omnitron III) and a massive factory complex known as Omnitron IV. Both of these would be destroyed, but continue to exist after parts of it avoided complete destruction.
