Mother Righteous's History

Mother Righteous is one of the four clones created by the original Nathaniel Essex. Unlike the present-day Mister Sinister, Doctor Stasis, and Orbis Stellaris, she was not a clone of Nathaniel himself but of his late wife Rebecca and inherited her memories. All four clones were created in 1895 to combat the eventual ascension of a machine dominion. Besides Rebecca, each of the clones believed himself to be the one and only original Nathaniel Essex, having no memory of his death in Bedlam. Each one of the four Essex clones tackled the crisis of inevitable Machine supremacy through a different approach. Mother Righteous specialized in magical studies and the collection of artifacts becoming a mysterious dealmaker and a powerful magic user with a deep connection to the Astral Plane. She is marked with the suit of Hearts on her forehead.
