Michael Hudson's History

Michael Hudson had seen things that most people could never begin to imagine. As a priest trained in conducting exorcisms, he had faced down demons and won battles against the forces of darkness that still gave him nightmares. After over a decade in the field, he had lost count of how many times he had entered that strange realm between our world and the next, serving as a spiritual warrior to help the afflicted cast out the evil spirits possessing them.

It was a job that took its toll both mentally and physically. Michael still bore the scars from claws and bites inflicted during some of his more difficult cases. Night after night, he would relieve the horrors in his dreams, reliving each scream and every vile word uttered by the demons as they fought to maintain their hold on the poor souls under their control. More than once, he had come dangerously close to losing his own life in the process.

Yet still he continued his sacred duty, driven by his devotion to help those who had nowhere else to turn. While the Catholic church still did not fully endorse the practice of exorcism, seeing it as a last resort, Michael found that modern science could only do so much in the face of true demonic possession. So he took on each new case with steadfast resolve, drawing on both his faith and his extensive training to battle the sinister forces that plagued this realm.

His latest call was in an upper-class suburb just outside the city. A teenage girl named Claire had suddenly begun exhibiting disturbing behavior - violent outbursts, speaking in unfamiliar languages, showing superhuman strength. Her parents were at their wit's end after multiple trips to the hospital had found no medical cause. That's when a priest who knew of Michael's work recommended he take a look.

And so Michael found himself once more venturing towards the gates of hell, bracing for the spiritual warfare that surely awaited him within that quiet suburban home. He was the modern exorcist, one of the few lines of defense against the dark powers that still haunted mankind from the shadows. This was his calling, and another lost soul depended on him fulfilling it. Whatever nightmare greeted him behind that door, he would be ready to fight and, God willing, emerge victorious once more.
