Eden Fesi

Prime Marvel Universe

Manifold's History

Eden Fesi, alias Manifold was an indigenous Australian living in Kata Tjuta, Australia, under the tutelage of the X-Men ally Gateway. Eden was selected as one of the many unregistered superhumans, hand picked by Nick Fury as part of his Secret Warriors. Initially, Fury attempted to recruit him to another unknown team, but Gateway refused. Hesitant at first, he agreed when Gateway gave his blessing for Quake to enroll him.

After joining the team Eden went on several successful missions with them. On a particular mission where his powers were key in the team's escape he was badly injured. The team barely made it out alive. The team disbanded, as Hellfire had betrayed them and Eden slipped into a coma. Eden eventually made a full recovery.

Avengers

Eden was recruited into the Avengers after the the conflict between Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the X-Men. Together with the other new recruits, he traveled to Mars to rescue the original team and fight Ex Nihilo.

Time Runs Out

When the Avengers fell under S.H.I.E.L.D. authority, Manifold was one of the members who left and joined A.I.M., now under the leadership of Bobby Da Costa.

The Final Incursion

During the final incursion, Manifold was part of the Illuminati's evacuation plan, in their attempt to have humanity survive the end of everything. When the ship carrying the individuals the Illuminati had selected for survival was destroyed, Manifold channeled his powers through a machine that would help the Illuminati find the survivors that they "needed". Manifold succeeded in summoning all those needed, but burned himself out in the process, leading to his death.

A Nation Under Our Feet

Once the universe was destroyed, it ultimately came back. Manifold was restored back to life not remembering his sacrifice. He ended up in Wakanda where he assisted the Black Panther in stopping the revolts within the country by teleporting T'Challa and his Hatut Zeraze to strategic areas were the revolts were taking place.

The Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda

After T'Challa was contacted by the Emperor of the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda, he and Manifold went to meet him, but were instead captured and their memories were wiped. Manifold was made an enforcer for the empire and lead an army of Askari to fight the rebel group known as the Maroons. However, Manifold managed to free himself from the empire's control and aided T'Challa and the Maroons against the empire. They eventually returned to Wakanda on Earth, but the empire had been following them and waged war with their motherland. Manifold was among the individuals to help Wakanda in their war against the intergalactic empire.

S.W.O.R.D.

Manifold later appeared as the leader of S.W.O.R.D.'s mutant sub-team The Six. With the help of the Six, Manifold was able to transcend his limitation of only being able to use his powers in his native universe. Managing to cross over to another dimension within the multiverse, he and the Six were able to claim for S.W.O.R.D. what they were searching for: the Mysterium Tremendum. Alongside S.W.O.R.D. he faced the forces of Knull, in interfering in the Snarkwar and in spying on Henry Gyrich. He participated at the first Hellfire Gala, when Krakoa terraformed Mars and S.W.O.R.D. presented the Mysterium and the new regent of Sol to the Galactic Council. He participated in the rescue of Emperor Hulkling when the Kree/Skrull Alliance was attacked by Dormammu.

X-Men Red

Eden was recruited for Abigail Brand's new program, X-Men Red, a group of mutants to operate on Arakko as defense for the Arakkii and managed by S.W.O.R.D. He left the team before the first mission, considering the Arakkii capable of defending themselves with a group of superheroes of their own. An additional motive to leave was not trusting Brand, who he believed was responsible for the death of Henry Gyrich. He expressed his doubts to Cable and Thunderbird to convince them to disrupt Brand's power. They formed a squad alongside S.W.O.R.D. member Wiz Kid and the Arakii Weaponless Zsen and Khora of the Burning Heart to fight an ally of Brand, Orbis Stellaris, who stole a sample of Cable's Techno-Organic Virus. Manifold used the rest of Cable's virus to find Stellaris. Before fighting Stellaris, they discovered that his Progenitors brainwashed Vulcan into working for Brand. The Progenitors used their powers to control Manifold and open a portal in his chest but they were distracted by Cable, who saved Eden. Manifold returned the favor by teleporting the Progenitors away with the help of Lactuca the Knower. Having stopped Stellaris and Brand, Wiz-Kid became the Station Commander of S.W.O.R.D. and Manifold chose to stay under the new management.

Kidnapped

Sometimes after that, Destiny had a vision about Manifold being essential to the future of Krakoa and tasked her daughter Rogue and son-in-law Gambit to bring him to her. Manifold, who at the time was investing the disappearance of many current and former criminals, refused to come with them. The couple then offered to help him in order to keep an eye on him. Unfortunately, Manifold was kidnapped by the Power Broker's men. When Rogue found the Power Broker's base, it was too late and Manifold and the other prisoners were all mind-controlled by the supervillain, through a device that kills the wearer when removed. Despite being rescued by the couple, Eden's device was not removed and he was put in stasis by Destiny to prevent a future crisis.
