Far Cry

Hoyt Volker's History

According to Hoyt himself, his father was a simple miner and was forced to work faithfully in the mine for the benefit of the Company. However, in reality, he was a wealthy South African businessman and mine owner, who applied cruel methods of education to his son . Hoyt vowed that he could become richer and stronger than his father. Willis Huntley suggested that Hoyt started out in an oil company or came from Colombia, which he wrote in his own Guidebook. Having overthrown the leader of the pirates and killed him in front of his family, Hoyt became the largest trafficker in slaves, drugs and weapons in the Pacific region. He claims to have a slave market in Rio, Hong Kong and New York. Hoyt created his own military company - "Hoyt's Mercenaries" - a contract army that helps him control both islands and protects him personally. Vaas, the leader of the pirates and the main subordinate of Hoyt Buck Hughes, one of the killers of Hoyt To control the northern island, the Vaas Pirates organization was created, led by Vaas, a former Rakyat warrior and brother of the priestess of the Zither tribe, who betrayed the tribe for the sake of power, money and drugs proposed by Hoyt. Also, the mercenary Bambi Hughes began working for Hoyt. The Rakyat almost completely lost control of the islands, leaving only a few points under their control (Amanaki Village and Zither Temple). Hoyt's activities are interested in a CIA agent named Willis Huntley, as well as his agent Sam Becker with his group. The whole group was introduced into the ranks of mercenaries to obtain valuable information and kill Hoyt, however, all the fighters, with the exception of Sam, die in the jungle for one reason or another (this is known from Sam's description in the Guide). Sam manages to earn Hoyt's trust, but the connection with Willis is lost, which is why the murder of Hoyt has to be postponed indefinitely. Meanwhile, Hoyt's business is booming and his influence is growing. The Rakyats were almost completely destroyed by Vaas.

Jason Brody's appearance (nowadays) - Everything changes when Vaas is captured by a group of Americans who made a long parachute jump over the Rook Islands. It was decided to sell them into slavery, but Jason managed to escape from captivity with the help of the military skills of his older brother, Grant. Also, Vaas himself played a significant role in Jason's escape - as a mockery, he gave Jason 30 seconds to escape, being completely sure that Jason would die either from the bullets of pirates or from the local fauna. Grant was killed by Vaas, and Riley - Jason brody 's younger brother - Hoyt decided to sell personally, as a result of which the captive was taken from the northern island (where the entire group of tourists was) to the southern one. Also, due to the turmoil raised by Jason , a girl named Daisy Lee escapes from captivity. She succeeded because all the pirates who were at the base rushed in pursuit of Jason. Daisy subsequently managed to get to Dr. Earnhardt's house.

Jason Brody on a mission to find his friends. - Jason's escape was a devastating blow for Hoyt, as Jason quickly settled into the islands, starting to kill pirates, thereby helping the Rakiyat regain their former power. He also managed to save his girlfriend Lisa from captivity. Jason took her to a cave under Dr. Earnhardt's house, where Daisy was already waiting for them.

Willis intercepts a conversation between Vaas and Hoyt and lets Jason listen in:

Hoyt: "Great day today"

Vaas: "What, boss, are you planning a parade?"

Hoyt: “You always make me laugh, Vaas. So I at least get distracted from serious matters. Thanks to you... Mm, so... what about Snow White"

Vaas: “Yes, he didn’t bite anyone in x **. Generally"

Hoyt: "Really? Then why am I here?

Vaas: “When you get the ransom, his friends will be sold out. I killed my older brother. Did what you said to the younger one. My sister ... paints a white one ... "

Hoyt: "I don't care about your family! It's only by my grace that your head doesn't show off on the antenna of my car! So please, start worrying about Jason Brody!”

Vaas: "Okay, Hoyt. OK. Okay"

Hoyt: "Fantastic! Wondeful weather! And what kind of village is a little further - Beras Town? A bunch of local lovers. They stole an invoice, very expensive for me. You need to visit them. Nice to see you, Vaas"

Hoyt had to urgently fly to the northern island, where, on the instructions of Willis, Jason set fire to Hoyt's drug plantations. This moment was used by the CIA to find out Oliver's whereabouts - Willis's man named Rongo, who lives in Bearas Town, steals an invoice from Hoyt containing information on which route Oliver will be taken to be sold into slavery. Hoyt personally arrives in Bearas Town, chastises Vaas for not dealing with Snow White yet, and lets Rongo and several natives into the minefield as punishment for stealing the invoice, after which Hoyt flies away in a helicopter. Jason rescues Rongo from the pirates, receives an invoice and sends it to Willis for decryption, after which he finds out Oliver's whereabouts and saves him being taken out of the islands and sold into slavery.

Jason becomes a Rakyath warrior. Death of Buck and Vaas - The situation on the islands becomes critical for Hoyt: first, Jason kills Buck (and also saves one of his friends, Keith Ramsey), and then Vaas, before that he practically destroyed the pirates and returned control of the northern island to the Rakyats. This forced Hoyt to strengthen his security several times, because Hoyt began to seriously fear for his life, since Jason 's next target was exactly him. The reason for this was the thirst for revenge - Jason wants to avenge the death of his brothers: Grant, whom you killed, and Riley (Kit reported about his death, however, as it turns out later, Riley is alive and is held captive by Hoyt). Also, his desire to kill Hoyt is actively fueled by Citra, who wants to free the Rook Islands from Hoyt's tyranny and lead the tribe to prosperity.

Meeting with new recruits. Conspiracy against Hoyt - Ah, my ruddy recruits! I won't lie, we're all here for the dough. But when I wake up in the morning, I think: are my people happy? My father, rest in peace, was a miner. Every day he got up at dawn, smoked a cigarette and went underground. To this wonderful... wonderful man, the Company was a god. I have kept this attitude to my humble business. And I expect the same from you. So. The Company has three main unshakable rules. First. Take care of my goods. You can fuck them, but gently. Second, kill any native. Finally, all profits are mine. I understand everything, but if you break one of these rules ... I will roast you on fire until the skin bursts like a chicken. Okay, stop talking. The savages want to destroy my work. My pride and joy. Let's show them who we are! Yes, I completely forgot, the prize of the month: a personal island! Behind the head of Jason Brody - Hoyt's speech at a meeting with recruits.

However, all this did not prevent Hoyt from holding a meeting with recruits, at which he told the three basic rules that all mercenaries must follow: protect Hoyt's goods, kill any native on the spot, and give him all the profits. On the stage on which Hoyt stood, there was also a cage in which the offender sat. To show the newcomers what will happen to them in case of disobedience, Hoyt sets it on fire, dooming him to a terrible and painful death. After that, he announces a reward to the one who kills Jason - a personal island. Jason himself, who put on the uniform of a murdered mercenary named Foster and is lost among the recruits, is directly watching everything that happens. Before Hoyt made his speech, one of the guards offered Jason-Foster a job: the pirates, left without a leader, decided to kill Hoyt along with a group of traitorous mercenaries in order to get his wealth. Jason decides to kill them and provide Hoyt with proof of the conspiracy so that Hoyt will start to trust him. In this, Jason is actively helped by Sam, who also wants to kill Hoyt.

Jason, as Foster and hoyt face to face - Dialogue between Hoyt and Jason -Foster in Hoyt's office:

Hoyt volker: "Where is the list of traitors and photographs?"

Foster: "*puts the folder with the list and photos on the table* Here"

Hoyt volker: "*looks through list and photos* Hmm! Great job. Would you like a cigar in honor of the victory? You put on a good show."

Foster: "I don't smoke at all"

Hoyt: Are you afraid of lung cancer? This is crap. Cancer won't kill you. So, you want to be on my list, Foster. But know: I see people through. You are a fidget. You take on one thing, then another!

Foster: "It just didn't fit"

Hoyt: "Okay, I'll tell you a secret. Do you know what makes my people happy? Fear. So, hobby. Cooking, painting, cinema, drugs. What is yours?"

Foster: "I love hunting"

Hoyt: "I'm a hunter myself. Noble profession. If we are talking about real hunting. I can suggest you go to the slave market in Rio, Hong Kong, New York. This is a worldwide enterprise. Globalization is the future. Goods are brought from all over the world - to me. Take American industry. They mark the lenses with the number 123 so I can see them if I put the lens inside out. But! Why 123 and not ABC? So that you can sell them in any country. And guess what happens when I wear them?"

Foster: "You don't see 123"

Hoyt volker: “That's the most amazing thing. This is what progress is! This is civilization. Some people just don't understand it. Do you see this boat? I'm holding her and the crew for ransom. But the owner does not want to negotiate outside his country. G-r-r! *plays Ride of the Valkyries by Richard Wagner* I prefer the European version. American orchestras have too loud brass. *blows up passenger boat* Boom bam! That's the whole point, Foster! Slaves are bought and sold all over the world. Just like contact lenses, my product is universal. So, I want you to do something. There's a prisoner down here. Find out who he is and who he works for, then beat him unconscious. Sam will go with you"

Foster: "Okay"

Hoyt volker: "Oh! I will follow you through the camera. It's rare to see a professional at work. Hey! Do not disappoint me!"

Foster: "*leaves*"

Jason successfully kills the conspirators and obtains evidence of their guilt (photos and a list of the names of everyone involved), and Sam told Hoyt that Jason-Foster is an excellent soldier. Hoyt summons Foster to his office (in fact, already knowing full well that Foster is Jason) and orders him to show proof of the conspiracy. Jason-Foster shows him the photos and the list, and Hoyt pretends to trust him. After a short dialogue, Hoyt, turning on the music of Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries", blows up the boat with the hostages, since they refused to negotiate for them outside their country. After that, Hoyt orders Jason -Foster to interrogate the prisoner who is in the basement of Hoyt's house. Hoyt also says that he will follow the interrogation through a security camera. Jason-Foster and Sam go down to the basement...

Riley's interrogation: The prisoner turns out to be none other than Riley Brody, Jason Brody 's younger brother, who was considered dead for a long time (Keith told Jason that he saw Riley try to escape from captivity and he was shot). Jason is at a loss, but pretty quickly figure out what to do next, plugging Riley's mouth with his hand (he smiled when he saw Jason ). Not for a moment forgetting that Hoyt is watching them through a security camera, Jason, in order not to break the cover, begins to treat Riley quite cruelly, yelling at him and beating him. While Sam briefly turned off the camera, Jason talks to Riley, reassures him and promises that he will save him. Riley agrees to have Jason beat him up. Sam turns the camera back on and Jason beats Riley severely. Hoyt watches everything that happens, including the dialogue between Jason and Riley (which only confirmed his guesses about who Foster really is). After a fruitful interrogation, Hoyt invites Jason-Foster and Sam to play poker at night. Both accept the invitation. Satisfied, Hoyt leaves, already developing a plan for how he will kill the traitors. Jason and Sam have other plans for this...

Destruction of the Hoyt Company: According to Sam, before killing Hoyt, you need to destroy his company, otherwise there is no point in killing him. Jason and Sam successfully carry out their plan: first, Jason destroys the Hoyt Communications Center by blowing it up with a large amount of explosives (after which he and Sam fly away in a helicopter), and then they both blow up Hoyt's fuel depot. Hoyt finds out about this and who did it, but it's too late to fix anything - all he can do is kill Jason and Sam, thereby avenging the destroyed fruits of his activities. Poker night is coming...

Poker game night : Before the poker game, Sam hid a knife in his shoe to kill Hoyt. The plan was: Jason would distract Hoyt and Sam would strike. The two of them arrive at Hoyt's office and the poker game begins. Hoyt is nice to Jason Brody and Sam to lull their guard, as Hoyt plans to strike first. Sam still doesn't get the knife, Hoyt strikes first, stabbing Sam in the neck, killing him. Jason gets up immediately, but is held back by Hoyt's guards. Hoyt tells Jason that he knew about everything from the very beginning and admits that he greatly underestimated Jason, since the latter destroyed half of Hoyt's company. The poker game continues, but Hoyt decides to up the ante - he's going to cut off one of Jason 's fingers for losing while Jason is being held down by security. He ends up cutting off Jason s left ring finger. Jason screams in pain, after which he begins to hallucinate again. The knife fight begins...

hoyt volker' s death: hoyt volker's death: During the fight, Hoyt tells Jason that he could be a great mercenary and could get paid for every kill, to which Jason reacts aggressively. Jason blocks Hoyt's blows with a knife and punches him in the face. Afterwards, Hoyt tells Jason that he sold Riley to a Yemeni buyer who "likes the young". Hoyt also says that he has powerful friends and that they will find and kill Jason . In response, Jason promises Hoyt that nothing will be left of him (Hoyt) when he dies. After blocking several blows from Hoyt, Jason stabs him in the shoulder with a knife. Jason then knocks Hoyt down, however Hoyt counterattacks, knocking Jason back and causing him to drop his knife. However, Jason, choosing the right moment, sticks knives in Hoyt's side, neck and head (using both Hoyt's knife and his own), thereby killing him. Waking up from hallucinations, Jason discovers that he killed not only Hoyt, but all of his guards. He then inspects and bandages the stump of his ring finger and rushes to rescue Riley, who has been taken to the airfield.
