Captain Amazing's powers and abilities

Strength and Speed Augmentation

Captain Amazing has a strength and speed augmented to be higher than that of a standard human being. This strength and speed is further augmented when in contact with an object made from gold. The more his body is in contact with gold, the higher the augmentation of his strength and speed.

Flight

Captain Amazing, when fully encased in gold, gains the ability to fly at superhuman speeds, but not fast enough to break the sound barrier.

Enhanced Durability

Captain Amazing possessed a durability higher than that of the average human being. When he is fully encased in gold, the durability of that gold also increases to a higher threshold, to the point where it can withstand bullet fire, small explosions, and concentrated bursts of energy.

Fusion of Souls

Captain Amazing is part of a small group of individuals capable of participating in the Fusion of Souls ritual to create a new being for a short period of time.

Captain Amazing's weaknesses

Reactive Strength and Speed

Captain Amazing has his strength and speed increased when he is in contact with gold. Inversely, his strength and speed is diminished when he is in contact with an object made from silver. Simply placing a pair of silver gloves on his hands is enough to reduce both his strength and speed to a level lower than that of the average human being.
