Watching Zack's shredded blanket flutter to the floor was probably the last straw. I say probably because not even a week ago he was holding omni-kitty's limp body. I also say probably because hearing Fade was killed by a possessed X could of been the last straw as well. But it any case, Mase...was cracking, falling apart. He sat on the ruined porch of his house, he'd never gotten around to repairing it after Antithesis's last attack. It was falling apart, just like Mase.

"Chaos...It's all chaos" he murmured

"Yesss" Something whispered "Chaos, the same chaos that took your friend, your son...and your love."

"I HATE chaos. hate, HATE, H̝̥̝̰̉͂̀͢A̷͇͈͍ͩͣ͐ͤṮ̷͇͛ͭ̈́Ẽ͎̣͙͙̳͈̹̪͠" Mase's voice cracked

"Don't hate it, embrace it" the voice chided as a red circle with symbols appeared on the ground in front of him. "Go on"

"No" Mase rubbed his eyes "I can't...can't betray...the balance"

The symbols glowed brighter
