Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, Original Star Wars Trilogy, I know Toy Story 4 just came out but I am still gonna say it so Toy Story Trilogy, The Godfather, The Bourne Trilogy, Indiana Jones 1-3, Alien Trilogy, Pirates of the Carribean, Die Hard, and Star Wars Prequels
Definitely not the best movie trilogy ever made. The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Dark Knight trilogy, and The Godfather trilogy now those are movie masterpieces.
They absolutely are. LOTR is good but I could never understand the hype around it. The Dark Knight was one of the greatest movies to exist but its not enough to carry the other 2. Godfather is the only one I can't contend.
The Star Wars Original Trilogy is easily better hands down. Darth Vader is a more developed antagonist than Count Dooku and General Grievous combined even Kylo Ren and Palpatine are better villains. To me I think Darth Maul should’ve not been killed off in The Phantom Menace and should’ve been the secondary antagonist for the Prequels until Revenge of the Sith and then have him be killed off by Anakin Skywalker. Thankfully the Clone Wars show made Maul a better character.
@ForJustice1324 The OT mainly has nostalgia and the fact that it came first going for it. If it came out after the PT then it wouldn't even be a question which one is better.
Vader has 3 movies worth of development where he had almost as much screen time and the protagonists. So its unfair to compare him to Dooku and Grievous. Killing Maul and replacing him with Dooku was a better move as that's what made it different from the OT.
I'm sorry but I dont like the first two Prequel movies aren't good and having rewatch them not to long ago they are just boring. The characters are undeveloped and some are little to know screentime to be properly fleshed out, the screenplays and plots are which resulted in bland acting from even some A-list Hollywood star they had and plot holes like the Sifo-Dyas plot in Attack of the Clones and the bland Anakin/Padme romance plot, and finally there's way too much CGI which looks to much like a video game at times which pretty much destroyed the special effect magic that made the Original Trilogy great. So yeah that's the reason I'm not impressed with the Prequels.
@ForJustice1324 They're boring! There was action happening all the time. If you want to talk boring ANH has aged quite badly now. Its still iconic but it really shows its age now.
Not all characters need to be fleshed out. When Vader first appeared no one knew who he was. Or Palpatine. Or Boba Fett. Its what made them all so popular. And what more did you need to know? When TPM starts the opening texts tells you all you need to know.
The poor acting from the script argument is something I've seen from people who just copy what they've heard from others. The jedi are supposed to emotionless monks. They're supposed to have constant calm demeanours all the time. That's who the jedi are.
How was Sifo-Dyas a plot hole?
Anakin and Padme wasn't bland. Anakin had been raised his whole life to show no emotion and then he sees the girl he likes again so he gets awkward and weird. That's actually quite normal. Its actually a lot better than what Han does where he basically just harasses Leia until Leia suddenly goes from hating Han to liking him like a flip of a switch.
Why do people always complain about CGI? What's wrong with CGI? Majority of movies use it now and George Lucas actually set the standard after the PT came out. Infinity War and Endgame used green screens and CGI in majority scenes. But people didn't care. This is what I mean when I say most of the hate the PT get is from people just copying what they've heard. Lucas even said he would have used even more CGI in he OT had technology allowed it. The lack of CGI hindered what he was allowed to do.
1. Dollars Trilogy (Man with no Name Trilogy)

3. Lord of the Rings
4. The Godfather
5. Star Wars (Original)
6. The Dark Knight
7. John Wick

The Godfather. Part III was still good but is nowhere as good as the first 2. But it is still probably my all-time favourite movie trilogy. 2nd would be the Dark Knight films. It is very hard to make a trilogy and have all 3 films be great but Nolan did just that.
Raimi's Spider-man Triology
Daredevil Triology
John Wick Triology
I think GOTG trilogy is on the way
