Dr strange can banish him in any dimension, can cast spells by powers gained from agamotto, cyttorak, ancient one and vishanti and energy blasts. dr strange can use even black magic which has no limit to its powers, he can fight in astral form. Capturing dr fate in mirror world or pocket dimension is not a very difficult task for strange. He can summon beings powerful than than dr fate and use them against them.
