Between Calvin and Hobbes
That's impossible.
It's a tie between Superman and James Bond.
10. Colonel Nicholson (The Bridge on the River Kwai)
9. Reed Richards (Marvel)
8. Juror #8 (12 Angry Men)
7. Norman Bates (Psycho)
6. The Thing (Marvel)
5. The Dad (Calvin and Hobbes)
4. Doctor Doom (Marvel)
3. Wolverine (Marvel)
2. George Bailey (It’s a Wonderful Life)
1. Calvin and Hobbes (Calvin and Hobbes)
This is about feelings, personal interest, etc.
The best thing about both is that they have weaknesses. Things to overcome, while trying to make the world a better place.
Both are my childhood heroes, grew up watching the Bond movies and reading the Superman comics. Both are equal heroes.
Norman Bates would be high on my list also.
10. Singing in the Rain
9. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
8. The Sound of Music
7. The Usual Suspects
6. Rear Window
5. Psycho
4. Rope
3. The Bridge on the River Kwai
2. 12 Angry Men
1. It’s a Wonderful Life
Juror 8 is Henry Fonda's character, the main guy. He's on my list because even though he doesn't have a name, he's one the the greatest examples of a purely good hero. A hero who fights against the odds, uses logic, stays inside the law, fights for truth and justice, and wins. Also, Henry Fonda is my second favorite actor (after Jimmy Stewart), and in my opinion that's his best role. Also, it's a great "nameless hero". He's just a regular guy in every sense of the word, no one even knows his name, but we went up against the odds to save a boy's life, and he won.
Rope is on my to-watch list. I borrowed it from my dad. I think I'll watch it tonight.
You can tell I'm an Alfred Hitchcock fan :)
North by Northwest is probably my favorite Hitchcock film that's not on that list, either that or The Man Who Knew Too Much (I know people love Vertigo, but personally it's always been one of my least favorite Hitchcock films). Rope is amazing! It's so underrated, you'll never here people talk about it or anything, and I don't know why. Let me know if you do re-watch it, I have so many things to say about that movie, in my opinion it's Hitchcock's greatest masterpiece.
