for Batman, it's mainly because He's Human and isn't a God like Superman or Martian Manhunter, Batman is mainly a Human who trains and trains to push a Limit, But it's mainly because of the Death of his Parents which Puts him here, legit that can happen to Anyone, We Lose Family Members and wish We Didn't but that's what Batman is all about the Code to Never Kill
For Captain America, because He was Introduced during World War II, Cap was created to be a Hero during those Dark Times, Cap was Also meant to Honor The People who died in WWII, to Pay Respects for The Soldiers that risked their Lives in The War which is what Captain America is all about, it's not about the Patriotism but What He was Meant to be

He went through so much and don't want others to feel the same that's why he became. a hero.
He's the one who defined the modern superhero as we know it. He's the most inspirational, the guy all of us strive to be. He's the measuring stick when you want to see how strong another hero is. Quite simply, without the man of steel, we might not have superheros as we know them today.
