As a lover of dinosaurs, the 1960's Dell comic, Kona Monarch of Monster Isle, has long been one of my favorites. Another is DC's Sea Devils from the 1960's. Some of the Silver Age Marvel comics from the 1960's are also at the top of my list. I love the Silver Age first and foremost. I also like some of the Golden Age and Bronze Age comics. Since the Bronze Age, my interest in comics has waned quite a bit.
I so totally agree with you. While it is true that one cannot compare the quality of today's laser art and coloring with that of the past, I still much prefer the stories of the Golden, Silver and Bronze Ages. I suppose that is to be expected, since I grew up in the Silver Age.
I love almost everything related to the DC "The New 52" initiative, and as it was already pointed out by both Forbes and the NYT, the transition to "Rebirth", going back to a more classic/cliché approach to appease old time fans was a disastrous long term decision from the business standpoint considering the declining comic book market.
@Tyrannus The most loyal fans never left, they were whining and complaining but they were still there. Considering the state of the comic books market, they should be concerned about the next generation of fans, and a reboot featuring characters with a more modern approach was great idea. It's a shame they put it all to waste with "Rebirth".
So Old Batman which is The Dark Knight Returns (1980 Version)
I liked reading some manga from the Legend Of Zelda they were all good I don't have a favorite.
Can't think of any other comic book series because I didn't even finish it. Not an addicted comic reader, don't read too many.
