Good List. and Iceman deserves a stand-alone Movie.

What were your reasonings for some of these choices?

@Tyrannus - The majority of my list probably has to do with childhood nostalgia. Basically, fond memories. First off, I've made no effort to hide the fact that Spider-Man is clearly and by far my favorite superhero character and always has been as far back as I can remember. When I was growing up (about 5-6 years old), Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends was airing on Saturday morning cartoons and I watched it religiously. Never missed an episode, reruns included. So his co-stars for the show, Firestar and Iceman, have always been two of my favorites as well and I've always at least somewhat associated them with Spider-Man. Iceman less so since he existed in his own right before the show and has always first and foremost been an X-Man but Firestar was created for and introduced in the show and so I have always related her more to Spider-Man while still enjoying her story as a character all her own ever since she was introduced into the comic books a couple years later as well. So, those two are high on the list because they were a couple of the first heroes I was introduced to and came to know and love. When I got a little older and started collecting comic books, I mostly collected all Spider-Man and X-Men titles and not a lot else. The prominent X-Men characters at the time that I grew up "getting to know" were a lot of the ones in the list. I especially loved the X-Men team and stories of the early-to-mid 1990s and the beautiful art for many of those stories by Jim Lee. However, when I first started collecting, someone told me that I should check out the Dark Phoenix Saga (Uncanny X-Men 129-137). I was far too young (I'm old but not quite that old) when those issues came out but when I started collecting, they had only been released for about 7-8 years. So I was able to find and collect those back issues while they still were not yet crazy expensive. To this day, it is still probably my favorite X-Men story. Obviously, Jean Grey was the main, central character but that story also introduced the White Queen, Kitty Pryde, and Dazzler and had a major impact on Cyclops and his development as a character. Wolverine was also absolutely huge at the time I started collecting and I found his story very compelling. So most of the list are my favorite X-Men characters that I grew up reading about with a couple newer characters thrown in just because I've liked their stories, powers, and/or association to one or more of my other favorite characters. And now you're probably sorry you asked! 😆
