Nothing more above than creator, nothing more greater than creating omni reality.

But only in their own universe

Some character can be more powerful than them but it's not confirmed. Sometimes they try to mention more powerful being than them just to confuse readers.

Yes, because they were the ones who created the two best known universes of heroes and villains in the face of the Earth. Just as there is God in Christianity and in other religions, they are definitely gods in their respective universes, or at least, meant to be.
