What is Psychometry?
The power to perceive and gather residual information from a surrounding environment. This information can be in the form of skills, memories or knowledge of past objects and acquired most often through touch. With objects, the user can gain knowledge of the makers, users, and even those who have on passing used the object, and what has been done with it. With living beings or parts of the body, the user can gather their general life-history but doesn't gain anything of what they were thinking or feeling.
Psychometry can also be used to find out the weakness of an opponent or in some cases, be used to "learn" the skills needed to use an object. For example, a psychometric character can learn the skills of a master swordsman just by touching the blade.
