@Galactus, I had an idea for how you could make the hybrids work, just next to the species selector you could have a +/- button where you can add species and subtract if you accidentally add too many, and how it would add is another species selector box would just appear underneath the regular one, allowing you to select more than one species

@Galactus New species include things like Golem, Spirits, Yeti, Pheonix, etc. Just like more classic fantasy-type creatures that show up a lot in pop culture. Also in types could you add Hybrid?
