Hijirimaru's powers and abilities

Basara - Hijirimaru is one of the few kegare that has ascended to the rank of Basara. By absorbing enough spiritual power from those they have killed, a kegare gains true sentience, rapid regenerative capabilities, an ability to sense spiritual power over immense distances and additional unique abilities. Each Basara is considered to be a threat to the entirety of Japan by itself. Among the Basara, Hijirimaru was ranked as the 4th most powerful.

Earth Control - Hijirimaru's unique ability was being able to telekinetically control grains of dirt and sand. He mainly used this ability to create nearly invisible blades to cut his opponents to ribbons. It also had utility in destroying terrain and deflecting projectiles.

Shapeless Blades of Debris - Hijirimaru's unique enchantment is the Shapeless Blades of Debris, which manifests as massive blade-like claws and gauntlets. The speed and power of his earth control is dramatically increased in addition to all of his other base stats. With this enchantment, he was able to break a Twelve Guardian Enchantment with a single swipe.

Higano's Essence - After absorbing Higano's spiritual energy, Hijirimaru entered a further empowered state that took the combined efforts of Rokuro and Benio to finally put down.

Hijirimaru's weaknesses

Sadistic - Hijirimaru enjoys making his opponents feel as powerless as possible to draw out as many of their negative emotions as possible. He can become so focused on this effort that he loses sight of his goals and can fly into a rage if interrupted.
