Why The Directly Satanic And God Characters?!

I have always liked comics a lot, but I don't get the god and satanic characters! Why are people so fascinated with them?! Why are they requested and accepted?! What I mean is--characters like lucifer this and lucifer that, satan this and satan that, son of satan, devil this and devil that(Daredevil is the exception), Spawn coming from hell, Hellboy, One Above All, god this and god that, etc. I am saying that the evil of the origins of these characters is pure evil beyond the scope of any fiction. In the case of God, HE doesn't belong in a fiction publication or media! What's going on?! Thank you for your time!
