Timber Wolf Timber Wolf (aka Brin Londo) is an alien-wolf Hybrid. A super-steroid serum he later took augmented his existing powers. His strength level is several times that of an average human. His enhanced reflexes and agility make him a fearsome physical opponent in battle. Although Timber Wolf does not possess traditional super-speed, his enhanced reflexes and agility enable him to run significantly faster than humans. All his senses are vastly heightened. He also is an incredible acrobat.

Although Marvel copied DC’s feral character, Timber Wolf (1964) is much stronger and faster than Wolverine and can fly. Timber Wolf’s healing factor, invulnerability to physical attacks and unarmed combat, and berserker and feral modes that Marvel copied combine to make him formidable. His claws now transform into steel-like talons, which he can fire as projectiles and regrow instantly. He has battled Kryptonians and held his own.

Luther Manning resembles DC’s Cyborg, but Marvel’s character preceded Deathlok. Manning was a high-ranking US officer. After being wounded in battle, he was transformed into the cyborg known as Deathlok. Under that name, Manning was the first character to be published (1974). Because he is a character from a future timeline, he is not the first Deathlok in Marvel canon chronology.

His artificial musculature is considerably more robust than that of humans. Coupled with his skeleton, most of which is composed of hydraulics and a durable, lightweight steel alloy, Deathlok can lift about 10 tons. Nevertheless, Timber Wolf is far more potent.

Deathlok can run much faster than the finest human athlete. His artificial musculature generates fewer fatigue toxins than ordinary humans. He can exert himself at peak capacity for hours before fatigue begins to impair him. However, Timber Wolf beats him again in this regard.

Deathlok’s bodily tissue is more resistant to physical injury than humans. He can tolerate significant impact forces that would disable or kill most humans with only mild discomfort. Due to most of his skeletal system being replaced with hydraulics and steel, his bones are far more resistant to fractures and breakage than a human’s. Still, timber Wolf is much more durable.

Deathlok’s agility, balance, and coordination are enhanced to about five times the level of the top human athlete. His reflexes improved to about 20 times that of an ordinary human due to artificial response and analysis reflexes. It is just that Timber Wolf is on a much loftier level. Consider him the Wolverine enhanced. Timber Wolf stomps Deathlok.

Timber Wolf The third paragraph’s first sentence should read: “Luther Manning resembles DC’s Cyborg, but Marvel’s Deathlok succeeded the DC character.” Additionally, I should have included information about Deathlok’s intellect. His brain now functions like a computer; therefore, his improved mind is integrated. His decision-making often results from computer heuristic algorithms rather than conscious free-will thinking. Although Deathlok is vastly more intelligent than Timber Wolf, the former's absence of free will can be a liability.
