I wish these users were still active to debate @SirSpidey on this battle because it was so entertaining when I first joined the site. Spidey we need to find another good Thor battle other than the Superman fight.

Thor v Hulk with Nemian is pretty entertaining

D***, I forgot about this debate. If you can find me someone who only uses comics to back up their claims, then will you see a good debate. Everything else is third grade insult throwing which is fun in it´s own right, but nothing as good as an actual intelligent debate with two people who use only the comics as evidence for their claims

@SirSpidey Who has been the toughest person you've debated in the good way (They provided factual evidence etc) and the bad way (They ignored facts and didn't co-operate)

- Good: @TheNemianLion back in the day burned me in a debate a long, long time ago (by long time ago I mean like 1 or 2 years ago, lol). I cannot remember the exact debate, but I was pretty new to debating at the time so I had no clue how to debate effectively. Surprisingly, he destroyed me with mere SCANS. That was probably the most irritating and toughest actual debates that I have had
- Bad: My debate with @TheTrueSuperman (or something like that) on the Thor vs Superman battle was the worst one. I gave him a list of about 200 feats or something like that and all he responded with was how much of a fanboy I was and a few non-canon comic books and a few websites to back up his claims. Aside from that debate, @soratoumiga and @AkhilPDX have been some real a**** as of late. I have given them comic book evidence to back up my claims and they still have not disproved them and they still call me a fanboy and such. They are the epitome of pathetic debating

From what I have seen, he is usually on top of the podium after most of his debates. Surprisingly, I have not really debated him yet. But I am looking forward to the day that we finally disagree on subject and engage in a heated debate

Maybe you can debate Soul since he loves Goku? I'll try and find a close battle against Thor and see if someone disagrees

Voted: Ghost Rider

Sure...I'm a bad debater. However, @soratoumiga has actually provided evidence and defeated you in the Living Tribunal VS Rune King Thor debate, so he has won. Plus, I beat you on Discord till the point you blocked me. I'm counting that as a win, whether you think so or not.

Voted: Ghost Rider

Lol, destroying him 20 times in a debate until he runs like a little ***** counts as bad. Is your ego that big?

Voted: Ghost Rider

It's fine @soratoumiga. We both know that you beat him before. His ego is so big he thinks he stomped everyone in every single debate before, but he has lost to you, @LordTracer, me, and @NemianLion as well as 5 other people!

Kinda tough. I'm leaning towards Thor on this one.

By the way he didn't defeat the Phoenix with one throw He slowed it down. Saying he defeated it the same argument people are using saying that Ghost Rider defeated Thor. He got in a good shot on Thor, just like Thor got in a good shot on the Phoenix.

I admit Thor Odinson is very very powerful and has stoof up to a ton of people, agreed, and I love Thor man but this is coming from my unbiased opinion. But like I said, Doctor Strange knows all, and these are his quotes from the Ghost rider and Hulk fight, whenever Ghost Rider was knocked out by Hulk, Ghost Rider unleashed his god like power of Zarathos, then Doctor Strange said "the riders powers are practically limitless" I'm telling you dude, look up the comic, I read it, but I can't remember the name, Ghost rider increases his size in the fight with Thor and Scarlet Witch and icapacitating them both.

Voted: Thor

Considering you think Ghost Rider can defeat Galactus, I think it is safe to say that your opinion is extremely biased. Doctor Strange most certainly does not know all. He has extremely limited knowledge. Lol, many characters including Thor are stated to have practically limitless power, but saying something is completely different then actually doing it. What you do is what matters the most and quite frankly, Zarathos has yet to do anything to suggest he has limitless power. I am not the one who is suppose to look up the comic. That is not the way it works. You are suppose to look up the comic so you can have evidence of what you say. That is not my job to do for you

@SirSpidy has a point and on top of all of that it is still a man vs a god and lets be honest the odds of a man beating a Norse god are little to none

In your defense @SirSpidey I will surrender the argument of Galactus because he doesn't have a soul so he wins
3+ years member.
Voted: Thor

Lol, how can you call that a win? That is like saying Thor defeated the Living Tribunal because Thor brought him to his knees for a second or two. That is not a win. Even then, when Zarathos floored Thor, on the very next page Thor is shown flying towards Zarathos with zero signs of bodily damage or fatigue, meaning Zarathos had zero effect on Thor. Also, did you forget about when Thor knocked Zarathos down with one swing before Zarathos floored Thor? Of course you did, because your opinion is biased. So my ¨opinion¨ still stands
1+ years member.
Voted: Ghost Rider

You also don't seem to wanna adknowledge the fact that he was fighting all the other Avengers and some X-Men too and walking through them, if it was one-on-one and he was able to focus on Thor, it's over. Your biased "opinion" on Thor is starting to show through too.

You also don´t seem to want to acknowledge the fact that Thor was drunk while fighting Zarathos. If Thor wasn´t drunk, he would have easily defeated Zarathos. Your biased opinion on Ghost Rider is starting to show through too

What? What is so wrong with me saying Thor defeats Galactus? Do you need evidence or something, because I can give you that. If you don´t like the fact that Thor is more powerful than Galactus, that is not my problem. Just know that if you deny that, you deny the comics themselves

Penance stare wouldn't work on Thor. Thor has not done anything too bad, and even the very few sins he has done, he has atoned for them, even so, it still could not mess up Thor too bad, it wont give the edge to Ghostrider. Ghostrider has no chance, hellfire wouldn't damage thor at all, as Thor can absorb every attack Ghostrider throws at Thor.

No, do you know who Thor is?

Voted: Ghost Rider

Yes I obviously know who Thor is, buyt Zarathos is capable of wiping out all of existense without some Infinity Stones, and Ghost Rider can unleash it within himself. Which Zarathos has beaten all of the Avengers (including THor) and Doctor Strange said it himself that he would be able to defeat the Hulk. so yeah

One, which issues. Two, Zarathos is nothing new to Thor. Thor has defeated an amped Thanos who was equal to Death in power

Voted: Ghost Rider

The Avenger #214 where Ghost Rider and Zarathos beat the Avengers and X-Men, for one. Then, ther is another newer comic where he fights all the avengers again and beats him and Scarlet Witch with ease basically. I can't remember the name of it right now
1+ years member.
Voted: Ghost Rider

Also not to mention there a ton of characters that have beaten Thor lol including Ghost Rider
3+ years member.
Voted: Thor

For your first comment, are you kidding me? You call that a win? Thor tanked Ghost Riders Hellfire as if it were nothing, Thor tanked a hit from Ghost Rider (thanks to Mjolnir doing all the work) as if it were nothing, and absorbed Ghost Rider´s Hellfire into Mjolnir as if it were nothing. If Thor was actually trying and not holding back, Ghost Rider would be dead in less than a second. For your second comment, a ton of characters have defeated Thor, huh? Please name those characters, I´m quite curious. Also, Ghost Rider has never defeated Thor. Where did you get that from?
1+ years member.
Voted: Ghost Rider

Um yeah I'd call that a loss, he didn't knock down Ghost Rider did he? and Ghost rider did, even if he had to improvise. Yeah because I'm sure Thor wasn.'t actually "trying" give me a break. lol well if Ghost Rider wouldn't hold back and would use Zaratos, Thor would die in a blast so it goes both ways lol. and for the characters I have read that have beat him are The Sentry, The Phoenix Five, Scarlet Witch, Black Bolt (but not really), Angela does once, Red Hulk, Adam Warlock, Hercules ( though Thor was considerably weaker in this storyline), Silver Surfer, The Hulk, and Beta Ray Bill
3+ years member.
Voted: Thor

Thor did not lose to Ghost Rider. Ghost Rider just used Mjolnir to generate enough force into his blow to knock Thor down. Ghost Rider couldn´t even faze Thor with his own power. Ghost Rider had to use the power of Thor to have a slight effect on the more powerful god. Ghost Rider then ran away like the p***y he is. So it was essentially a hit and run which does not count as a win. Yes, Thor did knock Ghost Rider down. Thor did it with a simple wind gust. If Thor wasn´t holding back, he could have killed Ghost Rider right there on the spot just by blasting Ghost Rider with an energy blast instead of pinning Ghost Rider down with some wind, but no, Thor holds back against weaker characters like Ghost Rider. Thor himself said in that comic, ¨It matters not Captain America! His power holds no terror for me!¨ Unless Zarathos is more powerful than three Celestials, his blasts are not going to faze Thor anytime soon. For the characters that have supposedly beaten Thor, the Sentry has never beaten Thor. In which comic has the Phoenix Five defeated Thor? In which comic does Scarlet Witch defeat Thor? In which comic does Black Bolt defeat Thor? Angela only had a chance against Thor because Thor was extremely exhausted. In which comic does Red Hulk defeat Thor? In which comic does Adam Warlock defeat Thor? In which comic does Hercules defeat Thor? Silver Surfer has never defeated Thor. He has only been able to tie against Thor, while Thor on the other hand has defeated Silver Surfer 3 times. The Hulk has only been able to defeat Thor because Thor always holds back against the Hulk. Every time the two fight Thor is either trying to talk the Hulk out of fighting, playing games with him, does not want to kill the Hulk because he is a friend, or trying to save the innocent citizens that are endangered by the wake of the two characters destruction. All the while the Hulk is going all out on Thor. In which comic does Beta Ray Bill defeat Thor?

@SirSpidey In which comic did the Phoenix 5 defeat Thor? They smack him around him (and everyone else) throughout the entire Xmen vs Avengers. One on one Phoenix 5 Emma Frost beats him, soundly. Come on you had to have seen that being such a Thor guy!

@SirSpidey AVX: VS Issue 4. I'll save you some time the last line is "Winner: Emma Frost".

@SirSpidey X-men vs Avengers Issue 6 Scott takes him out pretty easily.

Voted: Thor

Same series Issue 9 Colossus and Magik beat him enough to capture him.
1+ years member.
Voted: Thor

@SirSpidey Correction it is Avengers vs Xmen
3+ years member.
Voted: Thor

- Avengers vs X-Men #4: An exhausted Thor defeats the Phoenix Force within one throw from Mjolnir, but to his dismay, the Phoenix Force takes the life from a nearby planet, reviving itself, and goes on to defeat Thor. Nowhere in that comic does Thor fight Emma Frost
- Avengers vs X-Men #6: I guess you can call that a win for Cyclops, but it is not a definite win as they were stopped by Scarlet Witch before they could go any further
- Avengers vs X-Men #9: Colossus´ power wasn´t enough to take down Thor. He needed the help of Magik to take him down. In a 1v1 situation, if the battle went on long enough, Thor would have eventually won
--------------------------------------
So in conclusion, Avengers vs X-Men really s**t on Thor during the entire run. They completely turned Thor into something he isn´t. They made Thor so less powerful than he actually is which is kinda cheap in my opinion. They had to do that because the plot called for it. If this was Thor of earlier incarnations, he would have easily dispatched the members of the Phoenix Five, but no, that would be a lame story if Thor did all the work. So sure, you can use this as evidence for the Phoenix Force defeating Thor as it is canon, but that is not to say it is only due to PIS
1+ years member.
Voted: Thor

That was Avengers vs Xmen #4, Look up "AVX: VS" (type it in exactly like that in ReadComicsOnline)#4 it is different than the main Avengers vs Xmen comic. It is just a series of various battles. Emma Frost clearly and without question beats Thor. Yes it took both Magik and Colossus to beat Thor, you stated that the Phoenix 5 never beat Thor, Magik and Colossus are only 2 of the 5. I'd have to go back and review, but the Scarlet Witch showed up to stop Scott, and I didn't see Thor jumping in to help, because Scott just, barehanded, stopped a swing of Thor's hammer then took him down with a blast, but I can see you not buying in so I'll drop that (and I won't go into Namor holding a limp Thor in one hand after Thor's attack failed to stop Namor, because Namor ultimately lost when EVERYONE else piled on). In conclusion, clearly The Phoenix 5 beat Thor, Emma Frost did 1 v 1 and 2 of them (again Magik and Colossus) did it also. Thor kicks most people's/entity's butts, it doesn't take anything away from him that he could not beat the Phoenix 5 by himself, and lost a few. You can't just discredit a loss of Thor's by saying it was a bad comic or that if the battle went on Thor would have won . It's cannon, it happened, you may not like it, but that's just the way it is. I'm probably one of the few who doesn't think you "fanboy" arguments, but you're coming close this time.

I had to remind my self about Demons see if i remembered correctly.
I read about them in the offical handbook of the Marvel universe !
Zarathos is the servant of a Demonlord and ofcourse thats not something new this makes their power inferior.
The first generation of demons is degenerated Elder gods as Chthon or Set.
The second generation is often called devils and rules dimensions refered as Hells.
There are more types but stop there.
The diffrence between demons and gods is very small and their existence linked.
Gods are quasi mystical superhuman life existing without preying upon lesser creatures. What Demons may be then become obvious.
The Hierarki of herritage and power applys, as i think we all may see.
