2 words, "mind control".
Voted: Superman

Way to fast
Voted: Superman

I mean if you think about it Superman can fly really fast, But Professor X I don't know how fast his mind can go before he gets destroyed. My vote is on Superman
Voted: Professor X

Professor X mind is limitless....
He can Freeze or Control Superman before Superman is ab
Superman will destroy himself on his one command...
The Man of Steel has no chance here...
Professor X will be the Winner

Considering both in character, i think none of them would begin with real violent attacks. At begining Charles
would try to read Supes mind but find some difficult to it. (Manchester Black, powerful psychic, was not able to
read Superman´s mind but was able to mess with it.) Superman would notify this and, realizing what he was up
against, would probably try to end this quickly. Freeze Breath should be an option. But Charles is an able
psychic and would send an psychic attack to paralize Superman or some other attack but, to me, to no effort.
(Superman had already overcome hypnosis attacks in comics. In comics Superman also know Torquasm-Ra and
Torquasm-Vo, he can fight in a mental plane if he needs to). Then Charles would be an ice block and Superman
wins. (In case he can´t overcome the mind powers he can do like Grant Morrison´s New 52 run and ``turn off´´ his
brain and let his body attack purely in instinct).

Alright let's do some real analysis. This fight comes down to speed of thought Vs speed of body, and in that yes the laws of physics do dictate that thought is faster, but Superman and comics in general completely ignore physics, so I will not use them. Instead I will do this battle style. So there are three kinds of fights: random encounters, prep time, and dropping them into an arena and battle. I will be using the last one, dropping them into combat, as this gives neither an advantage.(With prep Superman could learn how to avoid being mind blasted and with random encounter The Professor would have sensed Superman and taken him over immediately.) So in an arena fight the first second or so the characters would be sort of stunned and take in their surroundings. Superman does see and think faster, as proven by his ability to dodge near light speed attacks. That being said the Professor does sense power and would immediately feel Superman's strength as the threat, so he would immediately try to break his mind. Superman does have a resistance, and that is what I'm not sure what to do with. If Superman can resist for even a second then he will speed-blitz once he feels the Professor prodding his mind. If the professor can break through in a second, then the fight is his. Thoughts?

What is Professor X supposed to do with Superman even if he gets him under mind control?

Well assuming that he can get Superman under his control, anything. The Professor can make him think and do anything he wants, be it punch himself, rip off his own arms, pull out his own heart, or fly straight into a room filled with Kryptonite. Or the Professor could mind blast him, turn his brain to literal mush, have Superman fly into a red sun, or rip his own head off. The Possibilities of what the professor can mentally do to a person are limitless. That is of course assuming that the Professor can get Superman under his control, and I will make a post about this now.

@aajayunlimited: I don't know how fast Professor X can think, but doubt that it's faster than Superman. The Man of Steel has had full conversions with the Flash in seconds that would normally take people hours. So if Superman wanted to end the battle quick and painlessly, he could either vaporize Professor X on the spot, freeze him, or speed blitz him and knock him out

Because the law of physics makes brawn slower than the speed of simple thought, Professor X has a chance from the start of the fight up until about 3 secs or more later. Whatever the delay is, he has to act then to win without mercy. He could still win by preying upon Superman's noble mercy and him being an old crippled man; then, as Clark has a sense of finality, Xavier turns him into a person who believes himself to be a baby(you know like those My Crazy Obsession type deals). Xavier could kill him, but that would be unnecessary. He also learns his weaknesses and--when he is too far away to be pursued by Superman--he returns Superman's mental faculties. Xavier wins.

@wd The laws of physics say that brawn is much slower than simple thought. How long does it take someone to snap their fingers? Not only that, you are much slower snapping your fingers as a child than you could be as an adult. Depending on how fast you might be, you might be able to get 5-7 snaps in a single sec time! Xavier has done this hundreds of thousands of times--if not millions of times! Brawn: It takes a car 3 secs to get to 60 mph(which is only half speed)! Some of that delay your speed is 0! All brawn is like that. There's a delay there. Superman's speed would be his delay + his max! You might say; what about his heat vision? Would he really do that to an elderly man in a wheelchair? I don't think so. That's why Xavier is so effective; only villains, like Marko, would hit an elderly man in a wheel chair with a blow or shot that is a killing blow. Superman would try to contain Xavier--which is the same thing as doing nothing against him; he'd lose.

It would be interesting see a battle of Superman with the Magneto's helmet and Xavier with a piece of kryptonite.
