Asha is an old friend of Logan Cale's and clearly yearns to rekindle their relationship on a deeper level. The two friends grew closer together when Max Guevara, held captive by Manticore, was believed dead.

Beautiful and intelligent, Asha can't help but be a thorn in Max's side, as both are rivals for the same man. Despite the tension between them, there appears to be no real deep-seated resentment between the two. A member of the S1W resistance group, she's also a spirited revolutionary and "Eyes Only" ally who frequently puts her life on the line for what she believes in. She and Alec shared a flirtation that stemmed from mutual want of companionship, but he later pushed her away for fear of putting her in more danger. The two of them almost got intimate once while they shared drinks and discussed Logan and Max's relationship and how it affected Asha.

She's the daughter of Margaret Curran, a mayoral candidate in Seattle that went missing in 2016, a victim of suspected foul play. According to a newspaper article provided, she also had a brother, Ilya Barlow, who was killed the same night her mother went missing.
