Green Lantern Hal Jordan is far faster than Superman, and far more powerful. Smartness is questionable. Doomsday would stomp Superman like he did Darkseid, and Darkseid requires the entire League to beat him. Superman alone would get pounded. Superman kept up with a holding back Flash, Hal kept up with a full speed Flash. So tell me, how does Superman have a chance?

Superman He would take out Hal Jordan either way. Forget that, he would take out any other Lantern excluding Larfleeze, the Guardians, Mogo, White Lanterns or Black Lanterns.

Green Lantern You aren't showing me anything that says he can. And Hal is stronger than the Guardians anyway.

Superman How does Superman stand a chance? Superman has also pounded Darkseid, but Darkseid would defeat both Doomsday and Superman at the same time. Doomsday took out a clone of Darkseid, not the true Darkseid but it is still impressive. Wonder Woman has taken out Doomsday, so can Darkseid. As for power, Hal Jordan is very powerful, definitely a powerful character, but he is weak compared to someone as powerful as Darkseid or Thanos. He can put up a worthy fight but he is taken out by Kal-El of Krypton.

Green Lantern Superman ever beating Darkseid, a being who is always a League-level villain, is PIS. Doomsday didn't defeat a clone, he defeated an avatar, which is EVERY DARKSEID THAT HAS EVER APPEARED. Darkseid's true form is 5th dimensional. Superman, Doomsday, Hal, even the Spectre can't beat that. Doomsday has also stomped the entire Justice League on his own. Superman and Wonder Woman would get destroyed by him. Kal is a hard fight for Hal, but as it's happened several times, Hal would defeat him.

Superman Nah- Superman can beat Doomsday, but yes, he should get obliterated by Darkseid.

Green Lantern He can beat Doomsday with heavy PIS. But when PIS is off, Doomsday can lay the smackdown on Darkseid. Doomsday is a Skyfather level being. Superman and the JL have no chance at beating him.

Green Lantern That was Doomsday the moment he was born and perfected. After that, Doomsday became far stronger. When Superman ripped him in half, that was N52 Doomsday, who isn't even close to the same level as PC Doomsday. And as for how he's Skyfather level, DD is above Darkseid, who is Skyfather level.

Green Lantern The O-Beams caused Green Spectre mild discomfort. They didn't actually hurt him. And DD beating Darkseid didn't really advance the plot, so it doesn't qualify as PIS. And Doomsday is "beyond death," and the Omega Beams erase you from existence. Aka, they cause death.

Green Lantern Hold on. You think escaping a black hole (which Green Lanterns have already done, btw) is more impressive than killing Krona. Do you know who the hell Krona is?
Krona stomped Galactus, who is a universal+ level threat. And Krona is the same in the crossover and in War of the Green Lanterns, so I can use it.
So Krona is universal+, at the very least.
Krona had the help of all seven emotional entities. Parallax and Ion, who are around the same level, are both universal+ level threats.
So, with just Parallax and Ion, Krona is Low Multiversal.
Then with the other five emotional embodiments, who may not be as powerful as Ion or Parallax, but are at least comparable, let's say they're universal, Krona would be a multiversal level threat.
And Hal killed him.
Unless you're saying Superman escaping and holding a black hole is more impressive than killing a multiversal level threat, there is no way Superman beats Hal.

Green Lantern Justice League Volume 2 has 52 issues. I'm gonna need the exact comic.

Superman Krona vs Galactus wasn't canon, and also Hal didn't kill Krona himself, he had help from Sinestro. Now back to my question, if Hal can beat Supes then why didn't he do it in JL vol. 2? He clearly wanted to. It's not like he was holding back but he still couldn't do it

Green Lantern Sinestro helped (barely) at the end of the fight, after Hal had already done most of the heavy lifting in beating down Krona. And Hal was the one who fired the killing shot.
And Hal wasn't able to beat Kal because his ring was a construct ring created by Sinestro.

Superman I don't see any difference between what Hal did there and how he would usually use his ring. I don't think the ring was holding him back. What could Hal done if it was his normal ring?

Green Lantern If it was his normal ring, Hal would have absolutely shit-stomped Superman, like he's done in the past.

Green Lantern Well, for one, John Stewart (who's leagues weaker than Hal) was able to one-shot Superman.
