Skaar's powers and abilities

Old Power

The Old Power is a form of energy created by the Shadow people in ancient times, and was meant as an artificial imitation of the Power Cosmic. From his mother, Skaar inherited the ability to wield the Old Power, letting him channel the tectonic energies of a planet, granting him mastery over earth and stone. With the Old Power, he can break or mend the earth as he sees fit, turn his body to stone, and call up magma from the depths. He is also capable of using this power to expand his senses, at one point he used it to sense every single event on the planet Sakaar simultaneously through the ground. He can even turn his own body to stone. The Old Power allows him even a form of retrocognition, showing him all who had walked the planet Sakaar in the last 'forty moons' and the things they had done. This power was removed from him by the Silver Surfer and then returned to him by his mother. However, the Old Power is inherently volatile and overuse of it can destroy the planet it is being used on.
