What is Weapon-based Powers?
Weapon-based powers are powers primarily derived from an object of some sort. These superheroes may or may not have powers of their own. The method in which they obtain their weapons is often very dramatic and often involves receiving them from a dying superhero or some omnipotent being. Clearly the best example of this type of power would be Green Lantern's power ring. Another excellent example would be Stargirl's cosmic rod. Other superheros have signature weapons as well, such as Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth or Captain America's shield. Some superheroes rely primarily on their weapons, examples being Batman or Blue Beetle.
