Thor

History

Descended from Norse gods, Thor had many adventures in Earth's past. Around the year 1000 CE, he faced Hercules and time travelling Greek warriors, the vampire Varnae, the Annunaki deity Marduk, the troll Grylak the Greater, giant rats in an Atlantean outpost, visted the sons of one of the men killed by the rats, and battled Dromedan. Thor also lived as the humans Sigurd and Siegfried, slaying the dragon Fafnir. (A man named James Allison incorrectly believed this story to be only an echo of 'racial memories' of a battle that one of his past incarnations took part in around 8000 BCE against a worm-like monster.) In the 1800's Thor travelled to the American west to thwart Loki and encountered a time-displaced Black Panther. In 1942 the Abrahamic tyrant Hitler tricked Thor into trying to kill Stalin, but Thor learned the truth thanks to the time-travelling Doctor Doom. Later in the 1940's Thor aided Venus against the Creeping Death, Major John Dark, and the Sultan of Cassorobia. In the 1960's Thor helped free Venus from Rumor. At some point at least 20-25 years ago, Thor battled a flying, serpentine monster. Sadly, a woman died when debris dislodged in the battle fell on her.
Later, Thor nearly started a war by violating a truce with his family's ancient enemy, the Frost Giants. Odin, his father, banished the young god of thunder to Earth without his memory, to teach Thor how to behave as a mere mortal. After a decade as an earthly doctor, Donald Blake was drawn to Norway, and a subsequent encounter with a race of warmongering aliens. While hiding out in a cave, Blake found a mysterious wooden cane that turned out to be the enchanted hammer Mjolnir -- which transformed him back into the mighty Thor. He drove off the alien invaders and took his place with the Avengers. Shaking off the Blake persona, Thor was later forced to assume the human identity of EMS technician Jake Olsen. Thor is forever torn between his divine home -- the hallowed halls of Asgard -- and the troubled lands of his adopted home, Earth. After the events in Avengers: Disassembled, Thor, having taken the throne after the death of his father Odin, watched as Ragnarok engulfed all of Asgard. Thor is presumably dead, although he will return.

Powers & Abilities

As the son of Odin and Gaea, Thor's strength, endurance and resistance to injury are greater than the vast majority of his superhuman race. He is extremely long-lived (though not completely immune to aging), immune to conventional disease, and highly resistant to injury. His flesh and bones are several times denser than a human's.

As Lord of Asgard, Thor possesses the Odinforce, which enables him to tap into the near-infinite resources of cosmic and mystical, enhancing all of his abilities. With the vast magical power of the Odinforce, Thor was able to even dent Captain America’s shield with Mjolnir.

Weakness

Equipment

He no longer needs them, but in the past Thor has employed a belt of strength, gloves for holding Mjolnir, and a special armor when his bones were brittle due to a curse.

Weapons

The warhammer Mjolnir. Thor wields Mjolnir, a hammer forged from uru metal. Mjolnir is virtually unbreakable, and allows Thor to command the powers of the storm, causing rain, thunder and lightning. Thor can channel the storm’s fury into devastating blasts of energy that can destroy even Secondary Adamantium. He can also channel his godly energies through Mjolnir into blasts so powerful that they can slay even immortals. Mjolnir can absorb other energies into itself, which Thor can then release.

Mjolnir obeys Thor’s commands as though it were alive, and if Thor’s will is strong enough, the hammer can pass through nearly any barrier to reach him should he so desire. Using this command over Mjolnir’s flight path, Thor is able to use the hammer to fly, achieving escape velocities. Mjolnir can also transform Thor into his civilian guises. When Thor is a civilian, the hammer most often becomes an old wooden cane. While employing a mortal guise, Thor will transform back into his mortal form should he be separated from Mjolnir for more than 60 seconds.

By spinning Mjolnir in a circle, Thor can open portals to other dimensions. Formerly, it also allowed him to travel in time, but Immortus removed this power. Enchantments surrounding Mjolnir prevent it from being wielded by anyone save those who have been found worthy. Thus far, this includes Thor, Odin, Tiwaz, Red Norvell, Beta Ray Bill, Superman (JLA/Avenger series), Wonder Woman, and Captain America. To anyone else, Mjolnir cannot be lifted from the ground nor wrested from Thor’s grip.

Even without the mjlnoir he a unstoppable juggernaut... Then he does have the rune magic and Odinforce..... No one can match his yrs of combat experience and he teleports and and has super speed...... Thor shouldn't be below superman at all even without his hammer he still trumps supes with his rune magic by long shot.

Like most people Thor has a flaw, if he is seperated from mjolnir he would be powerless and easily killed

EXACTLY! Thor is a GOD. With a fling of his hammer, he can defeat supergirl (which has a better shdb class)

Thor is a valiant Elementalist who has fed of war for milleniums. His bar of experience especially in the art of war should be 2nd to like Ares. His level should atleast be at supermans, if not more.
